Paramount Global’s streaming service is set to launch in Japan in collaboration with local cable provider J:COM and pay TV operator WOWOW by the end of this year.

Starting December 1st, Paramount+ will become available in Japan through J:COM and WOWOW’s on-demand platforms, with no additional cost to subscribers.

This expansion into Japan marks the second Asian country where Paramount+ is establishing its presence, following its successful debut in South Korea through the leading K-content platform TVING last year.

This launch was part of a strategic partnership between the global streaming giant and CJ ENM, which encompassed content licensing and distribution across both Paramount+ and TVING.
