Amagi and the National Hockey League have announced a partnership to bring a free NHL channel to The Roku Channel immediately.

Later to other platforms, according to Srinivasan KA, Amagi’s co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer, this move into ad-supported streaming TV by the NHL will be a significant addition to the FAST (free ad-supported streaming TV) content ecosystem.

The new channel will allow NHL fans to stay engaged with NHL content at all times and enjoy their favorite sporting moments on-demand. Amagi is thrilled to have been able to help the NHL build this channel and get it featured on the most prominent FAST platforms in the US.

It is currently unclear which other streaming services will offer the new NHL channel, but it will be available first on The Roku Channel.
