Hungarian broadband and TV service provider 4iG, along with its subsidiaries Vodafone Hungary, DIGI Hungary, and Antenna Hungaria, has chosen the Kudelski Group’s Nagra as its system integrator and solution partner to oversee the transition to an enhanced multi-device TV service for its clientele.
In this endeavor, 4iG has adopted the Nagra OpenTV Video Platform and NAGRA Security Services Platform, in collaboration with technology partners 3SS, Sagemcom, and XroadMedia, to deliver tailored and cutting-edge entertainment experiences to its subscribers.
The Nagra OpenTV Video Platform will support linear TV, catch-up, and nPVR features for channels available on all 4iG networks, encompassing cable, IPTV, and OTT services. This platform will empower 4iG to become a comprehensive aggregator, offering a mix of Live, SVOD, TVOD, and potentially gaming, VR, and other digital services in the future.
Both the OpenTV Video and Security Services will enable 4iG to ensure the security of multiple network types using a single content protection platform, seamlessly integrated with the 3SS’ 3Ready product platform, catering to 4iG’s specific requirements. This integration will result in an end-to-end secure service spanning both TV and streaming devices. The combination of the dynamic UX of OpenTV and XroadMedia’s personalization engine will equip 4iG to curate and deliver personalized experiences across all content categories.
